- Arunima Sinha is an Indian mountain climber and sports women she is the worlds first female amputee to scale Mount Everest.

- She was born on 20 July 1988 in Uttar Pradesh.
- 3) Describe the unfortunate incident that happend with Arunima sinha.
- In 2011, Arunima sinha was travelling by train to appear in an exam to join the CISF. She was thrown out of the running train by some robbers while she was resisting and refusing to hand over her gold chain to them. A train ran over her while she lay on the track crushing her legs below the knee. She had serious leg and pelvic injuries. She lost her leg after the incident, and was provided with a prosthetic leg at the All India institute of medical sciences within a few days.
- 4) What difficulties did Arunima Sinha face while climbing MT Everest?
- It took Arunima Sinha 52 days to conquer the summit. While climbing her oxygen levels were reducing but she refused to return back. She was at the risk of her prosthetic leg slipping while descending from the peak but she could not take off her gloves out of fear of frostbite. Hence, she dragged herself till the camp and finally conquerd MT Everest (8848m) on 21 May 2013 despite all difficulties.
