I. Phrase or Sentence

Tick the correct circle. P stands for phrase, S for sentence.

II. Punctuation and Sentence Types

Rewrite each sentence correctly. Also say whether the sentence is Assertive, Interrogative, Exclamatory, or Imperative.

  1. how hot the sun is

  3. what a lovely doll it is -> What a lovely doll it is! (Exclamatory)
  4. who teaches you english -> Who teaches you English? (Interrogative)
  5. obey your parents and teachers -> Obey your parents and teachers. (Imperative)

  7. what is the first month of the year -> What is the first month of the year? (Interrogative)

III. Interrogative Form

Rewrite each sentence in the interrogative form.

  1. It rained last night. -> Did it rain last night?
  2. It is raining outside. -> Is it raining outside?
  3. It has rained all night. -> Has it rained all night?
  4. It will rain in the evening. -> Will it rain in the evening?
  5. It rains every day on the hills. -> Does it rain every day on the hills?

IV. Jumbled Words

Put the words in the correct order to make a sentence.
