Match the Subject, the Verb and the Object to make sentences.

1. Boys are flying kites.

2. Our cow gives sweet milk.

3. Our team will play a match.

4. The peon was ringing the bell.

5. The teacher asked a question.

6. The gardener is watering the plants.

7. The fisherman has caught a big fish.

II. Complete each sentence with a suitable Verb from the box.

1. Miss Jane teaches English.

Fish:

Fish can’t climb trees.

2. What can’t horses do?

Horses can’t fly.

Frog:

1. What can frogs do?

Frogs can swim in water.

2. What can’t frogs do?

Frogs can’t fly.

Gorilla:

1. What can gorillas do?

Gorillas can climb trees.

2. What can’t gorillas do?

Gorillas can’t fly.

Bird:

1. What can birds do?

Birds can fly.

2. What can’t birds do?

Birds can’t walk on two legs (naturally for prolonged periods like humans).

Cheetah:

1. What can cheetahs do?

Cheetahs can run very fast.

2. What can’t cheetahs do?

Cheetahs can’t fly.

Bear:

1. What can bears do?

Bears can climb trees.

2. What can’t bears do?

Bears can’t fly.

Butterfly:

1. What can butterflies do?

Butterflies can fly.

2. What can’t butterflies do?

Butterflies can’t run very fast.

IV. Write a suitable Object for each sentence.

1. Mehak made a cake.

2. Girls plucked flowers.

3. Somya bought a book.

4. We must speak the truth.

5. We mustn’t tell lies.
